Initial setup needs an internet connection for the local AI model download. Processing runs in the background; time varies by hardware, scan quality and document length.

Export an encrypted backup and store it separately from your computer. Keep the recovery key safe: if you lose both it and your master password, PaperSafeAI cannot decrypt your vault for you. Restore checks backup integrity before replacing the vault.

On desktop, document reading, sorting, search and reminders run locally, and sync goes over your own Wi-Fi. On the phone, Cloud reading sends a page only after you agree to it.
Does it file things without asking?
No. It suggests where each document belongs and you approve it. You can move anything, any time.
What do I get for free?
The full app on one device. The AI fully reads your first 25 pages, and documents you add after that stay stored and readable.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your documents stay on your computer and stay readable. Pro features pause until you renew.
Which files can I import?
Import PDFs, JPEG, PNG, HEIC and DOCX documents, including scans and camera photos. Reading quality depends on the document; review important extracted fields.
Can I work offline?
Desktop document work runs locally after the initial model download. Every paid plan, including Lifetime, needs a successful online licence check at least every 14 days. An overdue check pauses Pro features while your documents remain accessible.
